Optimus Prime and Buzz Light Year Watch Bambi

Jack is in this precious flux state, striving to be a boy while still having the innocence of a preschooler. This afternoon offers a perfect case in point. He got a new toy for a good visit to the dentist plus super good behavior. His choice was optimus prime, a transformer. We introduced Optimus, leader of the autobots to Buzz Lightyear, Space Ranger, and they had a fight for the position known as Jack's favorite toy. Optimus won, and was promptly rewarded with a hug, then a snuggle on the sofa as Jack, Optimus and Buzz all watched bambi. I heard Jack encourage optimus to watch thumper. This age is truly magical, and I cannot wait to see them in disneyworld in a little while. An older lady stopped us at Furrs yesterday to tell us that it doesn't get any better than these ages, Jack almost five and Molly almost three. I am afraid I have to agree. Although all of their ages have been precious to me, there is something magical about their childhood at this point. Too bad it is so fleeting. I guess that is exactly what makes it so precious. God is right, children are a gift from him!

Everyday is magical...it only gets better the better they communicate..babies are great...children are too, preteens are great you really feel their pain...and in high school their pain becomes your pain...and.......when you get grandchildren it starts all over!!!! Life is just great w/kids!

This time is really fun...but when you have two kids who can ask such off the wall, but intelligent questions and then also can call your bluff at 2 years old. That can be a challenge too! In some wasy, I wish we could bottle the innocence and never have to let them leave that bubble.
