Family Easter Pics

Mike and I started a new tradition this Easter and went to The City Club's Easter brunch. The Easter bunny was there, as was a photographer. The kid's got Easter baskets and had a separate brunch area with kid friendly food like mashed potatoes in ice cream cups. We had sushi, prime rib, elegant veggies, shrimp cocktail, and a dessert bar that was terrific. The buffett was in their formal room, and it was over the top elegant. (Think large banquet room plus pink plus lots of mirrors plus crystal and gold). (Perhaps a bit tacky?) We had a blast. We ate, and ate, and ate, and the Sunday before, in our super small group from church, we read this scripture: Deut. 8:10: "When you have eaten and are satisfied, praise the Lord your God for the good land he has given you."

We had a great Easter, and are thankful for the many blessings we have been given. First and foremost, of course, is our salvation and the way we say thanks to the Lord for his gifts: through Jesus' sacrifice.
